The Central Valley Democratic Central Committees stand together in solidarity, adamantly opposing ICE’s recent attacks on communities in Los Angeles and across California. We demand the immediate release of SEIU California President David Huerta and all those unjustly targeted and detained by ICE.
We are witnessing a federal government that is disregarding due process and violating basic liberties—freedom of speech, the right to peaceful protest, and more. Immigrants have long been an integral part of California’s Central Valley and are valued members of our society, economy, and neighborhoods. We will not be divided, and we will not abandon our immigrant communities for political convenience.
While our democracy is under attack, our collective communities remain strong and united—from labor unions to civil rights organizations, interfaith groups, and, most importantly, our undocumented neighbors. An attack on one is an attack on all.
